From the desk of the Jester on Science and Diet
There are thousands of get thin quick schemes. Thousands. For every researcher carefully studying the effects of Omega-3 fatty acids there are a hundred quacks who think some dumb suckers will pay $100 for a “new” idea about how to get skinny.

I’d love to wax rhapsodic about the illusory nature of physical beauty, but I’ll point this out instead: a lot of ’skinny’ people are fat inside. And I’m not talking about spiritual qualities. I’m talking about actual tryacylglycerols everywhere but that spare tire region. I’m talking about sticks of butter lodged between their liver and their colon. I’m talking about tender, well-marbled muscle the like of which is also seen in massaged kobe beef. That’s “intramuscular fat” to you technically minded folks. Quote MSNBC: “people who maintain their weight through diet rather than exercise are likely to have major deposits of internal fat, even if they are otherwise slim.”
But don’t take the major media at their word. Go get the original paper. All it takes is a google search for “Jimmy Bell internal fat” to get the paper at the Journal of Applied Physiology. Think of how easy it is to download the article compared to the months of labor squeezing 67 fat women into an MRI! God, I love the internet.
